Account and collaboration
Team collaboration
A workspace can be shared with your team. Invite people by e-mail, give each of them a role, then work on the same articles and designs: share them, comment, edit together and assign approvals to the right person.
Invite people to the workspace
Type the address
Type the e-mail address of the person, pick a role next to it and click Invite. In the window that opens you can add more addresses (up to 20 at once): type one and press Enter.
RecordingTranscript
- Members shows the seats and the people of the workspace
- Type the e-mail address of the person to invite
- Click Invite to open the invitation
- Pick a role: a Viewer is free and takes no seat
- Send invitations: everyone gets their own link
- The invitation waits in the list until it is accepted
Pending invitations wait in the list with their expiry date. Next to each one you can copy the link, send the invitation again (the new link is valid for 7 days and the previous one stops working) or cancel it.
Joining a workspace
The invited person opens the link, signs in or creates an account with the address the invitation went to, and clicks Join the workspace. The screen shows who invites them and with which role. The workspace then shows up in the workspace switcher in the sidebar, under Shared with me.

Roles
| Role | What the person can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including the plan and billing, buying seats, transferring ownership and deleting the workspace. Each workspace has one Owner. |
| Admin | Everything an Editor can, plus managing members, integrations and the Brand Kit. |
| Editor | Works with Semurai: chats, runs the agents, creates and edits content, approves and publishes. |
| Viewer | Sees everything in the workspace and comments, but does not run the agents or edit. Free, takes no seat. |
To change a role, pick a new one next to the person in Members. The Owner role changes only with Transfer ownership in the person’s menu: the new Owner takes over the plan and billing, and you become an Admin.
Seats
- The Owner, Admins and Editors take a seat. Viewers are free and take no seat.
- Every plan includes seats: 1 on Free and Starter, 2 on Growth and 3 on Pro. Pending invitations also hold a seat until they are accepted or cancelled.
- Seats are shared by all the workspaces of the account owner: a person in several of them takes one seat. Who holds the seats lists them.
- The Owner can buy more seats with Buy a seat, which needs an active paid plan. The price of an extra seat is shown in Members, and every extra seat also raises the shared AI usage limit.
Remove a person or leave
- Remove from workspace in the person’s menu takes away their access. Their content stays in the workspace, and their private chats stay private.
- Leave workspace in your own menu removes you from a workspace you were invited to. You come back only when someone invites you again. The Owner cannot leave without transferring ownership first.
Share articles and designs
Chats are private to their author until the author turns on Shared in the workspace in the chat. Articles and Canvas designs can also be shared with chosen people who have a Semurai account.
- Articles: in the SEO editor, click Share, type the e-mail address and choose View, Comment or Edit. The person gets a notification and finds the article under “Shared”. Sharing is managed by the article’s author or a workspace admin.
- Canvas designs: the owner of a design clicks Share and invites people with Can edit, Can comment or Can view. A View-only link lets anyone see the design without signing in, and you can allow downloading or turn the link off. See Canvas.

Comments
Select text in an article and choose Comment on selection to start a thread. The comments panel lists Open and Resolved threads, each with the text it refers to. Reply in the thread, type @ to mention a person, and Resolve the thread when it is done.

People who can edit start new threads. People who can comment reply to threads and resolve them.
Edit together
Several people can work on the same article, document, post, email or design at once. The avatars of the others show in the header, each person’s cursor is marked in the text, and their changes appear live. When an AI agent edits at someone’s request, its label shows the agent and the person who asked, for example Tenko is editing for Priya Shah. The sidebar also shows who is in the workspace now and where.
Approvals: assign them to the right person
The For approval button at the bottom of the sidebar collects the decisions waiting across your workspaces: materials to review, campaigns, content plans and publications. Each row shows its workspace. Assigned to me shows only what someone assigned to you.

- Click the person next to a row to change who approves it, Assign to me or Remove assignment. You can assign campaigns, content plans and materials, to people who can approve: the Owner, Admins and Editors.
- The assigned person gets a notification.
Notifications
The bell at the bottom of the sidebar shows mentions, replies, new comments, assignments and shared designs, each with the person, the workspace and how many similar events it groups. Mark all as read moves them to the Archive. The menu of a notification lets you mute the item it is about.
