Desktop app
The desktop app has everything the web app has, plus a browser the agent works in, a quick question window you open from anywhere, notifications and a place in the system tray. You decide where the agent may act, and you can stop it or take over at any moment.
SemurAgent leadDownload and sign in
Download the installer
On the Semurai home page, click Download for Windows. For a computer with an ARM processor, choose Windows on ARM. A macOS version is in the works.
Install
Run the downloaded file. Semurai installs for your Windows user, with no further questions, and starts.
The agent browser
When a task needs a website, for example your blog or store admin, the agent opens the Browser panel next to the chat and works there while you watch. You sign in to your panels yourself, once: the agent browser keeps its own logins, separate from the app. Every chat has its own tabs, up to six.

- Continue, and the post is published
Stop, take over, resume
| Button | What happens |
|---|---|
| Stop | The agent stops the current step and is Paused: it takes no action until you resume. |
| Take over | You drive the browser yourself (You are in control). The same button is on the bar over the page. |
| Resume | Hands the browser back to the agent. |

Passwords and payment details
The agent never types into password or payment fields. If a step needs one, the action log says Password or payment field, fill it in yourself, and you enter it with Take over.
Sites the agent does not use
Semurai does not let the agent work on adult sites, sites with pirated content, and sites flagged as malware or phishing. A banner then says The agent does not work on this page. You can still open such a page yourself. If a site cannot be checked, the agent does not work on it either.

- Leaving a page with unsaved changes asks you first, in the panel and when you use the address bar yourself.
- If the agent needs your decision in a chat that is not on screen, the app tells you, with a link to that chat.
- Signing out of the app clears the agent browser, including the logins you made there.
Quick question
Press Alt + Space anywhere on your computer. A small window opens: type your question and press Enter. Semurai opens a new chat in the main window and starts on it right away. Esc or a click elsewhere hides the window.

Tray, start and notifications
The App section of Settings → General holds the desktop settings:
- Close to tray: closing the window keeps Semurai running in the system tray. Click the tray icon to open the app; its menu has Open Semurai, New chat and Quit.
- Open at login: Semurai starts in the background, in the tray, when you sign in to your computer.
- Quick question: the shortcut of the quick question window.

While the window is in the background, Windows notifications tell you when Semurai has answered, when an answer could not be finished, when it waits for your decision and when a new result waits for approval, and about mentions and replies in your workspace. Click a notification to open the right place.
Updates
The app checks for new versions and downloads them in the background. When one is ready, a blue arrow appears in the title bar. Click it and choose Restart to update, or Later: an update you put off installs the next time you quit Semurai. The tray menu offers the restart too.

Devices
Settings → Devices lists the computers signed in to the Semurai app, with the version and when each was last used. Disconnect signs the app out on that computer.
