Plans and usage limits
Every paid plan comes with all agents and tools. Plans differ in how much work they allow: the AI usage limit, tracked keywords, storage and seats. Here you will see where to check your limits, what happens when one runs out and how to change your plan.
What the plans include
| Plan | AI usage limit | Tracked keywords | Storage | Seats included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | A monthly allowance | 10 | 250 MB | 1 |
| Starter | 1× | 20 | 5 GB | 1 |
| Growth | 3× | 40 | 25 GB | 2 |
| Pro | 8× | 80 | 100 GB | 3 |
Starter is the baseline for the AI usage limit: Growth allows three times as much work and Pro eight times. Prices, yearly savings and what the Free allowance covers are on the pricing page. Prices are net, and taxes are added at checkout.
Check your plan
Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Subscription, or open Settings → Plan and billing (Ctrl + , opens Settings). The Your plan card shows the plan, its status, the price and when it renews. Below it you see your Usage limits.

Change your plan
Open the plans
In Plan and billing, click Upgrade plan. With a paid plan the button says Change plan. See plans in the usage notices leads here too.
Choose the billing period and the plan
Switch between Monthly and Yearly. Each card shows the net price per month, and for yearly billing the amount charged upfront. Your plan is marked Current plan. Click Choose on the plan you want.

Every plan has all agents and tools; they differ in AI capacity, keywords and storage. Confirm
- Without a paid plan, click Continue to payment. You pay on Stripe’s secure checkout page, and card details never reach Semurai. Back in the app, your plan is active within a few seconds.
- With a paid plan, click Confirm plan change. A bigger plan takes effect immediately, prorated for the current period. A smaller one starts at your next renewal, and until then you stay on your current plan.
Usage limits
AI work uses one shared limit for all agents and tools. It is measured in three windows, and Settings → Usage shows how much of each is left, as a percentage, with the time it renews.
| Limit | What it counts | When it renews |
|---|---|---|
| 5-hour limit | AI work in the last 5 hours. | Step by step, as work from more than 5 hours ago drops out. |
| Weekly limit | AI work in the last 7 days. | Step by step, as older work drops out. |
| Monthly limit | AI work in the current monthly period. | When the next period starts. |

Each limit is shown as the share that is left. On a paid plan the AI limit is the plan’s capacity: 1×, 3× or 8×.
What uses the limit
- The answers of the agents in the chat, and the work they do in the background.
- Writing and improving articles in the SEO editor, including Ask AI and generated images.
- Designs in Creative Studio and Canvas. In Creative Studio the High mode uses up to 5× or more of your AI usage limit; it is available from the Growth plan.
- Analyses such as keyword research, topic clusters and audits, and the materials of campaigns and content plans.
In the rank tracker, each tracked keyword also takes one slot of your plan, and the position checks count toward your usage limits too.
Approval before costly plans
Before a larger piece of work, for example a plan that uses much of your 5-hour or monthly limit or writes many articles at once, Semurai tells you why and asks first. In Settings → General, Ask before costly plans sets when it asks: Before every plan that uses your limit, When a plan uses much of your limit or Never. Publishing, sending and store changes always need your approval.
When a limit runs out
- When less than 20% of a limit is left, a quiet line above the chat box says so, and your name in the sidebar shows how much is left.
- When a limit is used up, a notice above the chat box says which one and when it renews. Your message stays in the text box. Refresh checks the limits again, See plans opens Plan and billing.
- Editors and tools show the same message, often with the renewal time. Campaign and content plan items show Waiting for limit and continue later.
- When less than 20% of your limit is left, background work of the agents waits, so the rest stays for your own requests.

Workspaces and seats
- AI work done in a workspace uses the limit of the workspace owner’s plan, also when a member starts it.
- Seats are shared by all the owner’s workspaces: a person in several of them takes one seat. Viewers are free.
- Each extra seat also raises the shared AI limit. The owner buys seats in Settings → Members with Buy a seat; it needs an active paid plan. More in Collaboration.
Payments, invoices and cancelling
Manage subscription on the plan card and Open portal under Payments open Stripe’s secure customer portal. There you change the card and billing details, cancel or resume your subscription and find your invoices. The Invoices list in Plan and billing opens each invoice as a PDF.
- A cancelled plan stays active until the end of the paid period and shows Cancels at period end. Until then you can bring it back with Resume subscription.
- If a payment fails, the plan card asks you to update your payment method to keep your plan.
- A scheduled change to a smaller plan shows on the plan card with its date.
Promo code
Have a code from a partner? Under Payments, next to Promo code, click Redeem code, type the code and click Redeem. The code activates the plan of its promotion.

Storage
Settings → Storage shows how much space your account uses across all projects and how much your plan allows. Below it you see the space taken by images, files, documents and chat history. Click images, files or documents to open the place where you review and delete them.
